My Choice

Billy means that if he doesn't cut the tree down, he cannot get the coon, which is in the tree. He tries to cut the tree down for several days, but he does not succeed. He is sorry that he doesn't cut the tree down, but the wind blows it down. Billy has done half the work, but he doesn't keep on. He apologizes because he doesn't stick to cutting the tree down. He has another choice and his grandpa comes up with an idea. They put a scarecrow near the tree, where the coon can see it clearly. The coon is very curious about it. So at first, it does not escape. Instead, it stays there for several days. The coon does not leave the tree until it figures out that the scarecrow is not a true person. However, Billy cannot wait for such a long time or continue to cut the tree, so he quits. But the wind helps him blow the tree down.

When I was 13, I could not decide to go on dancing or not. Because as I was older, I had much more work, and I was not as flexible as I was when I was young. But I had already danced for 9 years. In China, this was my final year to finish the long journey of dancing. It means if I danced for 10 years, I could get a level 10 dance certificates and become a professional dancer and perform in a lot of dancing shows. Moreover, if I stopped dancing, I could dance anymore until I graduated from high school. However, at that time, I could not do those difficult postures anymore. This choice was significantly important to me. If I kept on dancing and got the certification, I would be very proud of myself and get gratification because this would be an affirmation of my ability to dance. Nonetheless, I had to put much more effort due to my tough tasks in school. I thought about this choice for one month during summer vacation, and I decided to go on. That year was quite hard for me because my work at school was not easy. I am still thankful that I made such a nice decision for the same reason.
